World Youth Alliance Internship Program. The World Youth Alliance Internship Program provides opportunities for young people who are inspired by the ideas and work of the World Youth Alliance WYA to gain professional skills working on WYAs projects and a substantive learning experience on WYAs core ideas. Projects are designed to enhance each students specific academic background and interests. Interns receive mentorship and training from WYA staff members. Ideal candidates possess a strong desire to protect and promote human dignity while making a positive impact on society. You will need to complete WYAs Certified Training Program prior to starting your internship at the WYA Headquarters. IMPORTANT Incomplete applications will not be processed. Headquarters Internship Categories. WYA Global Internship. The WYA Global Internship last for three months and gives young people an opportunity to gain first hand training and experience in managing WYA global projects and leading membership campaigns. As part of the global headquarters, interns work directly with the WYA president. Interns will have the chance to be mentored in planning and executing WYAs annual global projects such as the International Solidarity Forum, Manhattan International Film Festival, WYA Birthday Ball and International Summer Camp. WYA Headquarters interns may also lead fundraising projects and social media campaigns. If you have the experience and strong interest to be involved in project management and public relations, the WYA Headquarters Internship is very ideal for you. WYA Marketing Internship. The WYA Marketing Internship is a 3 month program open to undergraduate students or young professionals majoring in Marketing, Design, Fine Arts or Advertising. Marketing interns support WYAs Director of Communication. The WYA Marketing Internship will include projects from WYAs 6 regional offices. A marketing interns responsibilities may include social media management, design and layout of WYA publicity materials, video production, photo documentation and marketing campaign development. If you are interested in learning how to communicate WYAs work through various types of media, then this internship is for you. Apart from the application requirements listed below, marketing intern applicants should also include a portfolio of their best works. This can be submitted as a pdf or as a link to their online work. WYA Advocacy Fellowship. Interns with experience and education in international relations, law, andor policy may apply for an advocacy internship. General WYA interns may have opportunities to attend events of interest at the UN, but advocacy interns work is related to our international advocacy efforts. Depending on current needs and the interns skills, work may involve representing WYA at the UN communicating WYAs work, viewpoint, and mission to our members andor to possible allies who are delegates or members of civil society research and writing and developing advocacy materials. Advocacy interns must have education andor experience in international relations and lawpolicy command of core principles of international law good analytical abilities and excellent oral and written English. The following qualifications, while not required, will be viewed favorably a degree in law an advanced degree in international relations SpanishFrench language skills. Depending on the applicants skills and interests, and WYAs needs, skills in networking and maintaining contacts, writing, teachingpresenting, creating content for training and campaigns will be useful. Interns with advanced degrees mastersmagister degree, J. D. or L. L. M., or Ph. D. who are interested in spending at least 6 months with WYA may be considered for advocacy fellowships. All applicants must submit a writing sample, in English, of at least 5 pages double spaced, to be considered for any advocacy internship or fellowship. FEMM Internship. FEMM Foundation, WYAs sister organization is looking for leaders with a strong desire to promote authentic womens health and empowerment through the provision of the FEMM program. The FEMM internship program is particularly suited to those who have an interest in health, wellness or medicine, and in educating and empowering women. FEMM Interns support the development, execution and expansion of FEMM programs, particularly FEMM Teacher Training TT. Tasks may include Teacher Training education support, presentations on FEMM, research, materials development, website maintenance, promotionmarketingsocial media and database tasks. Successful FEMM interns are those with leadership abilities, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, familiarity with social media platforms and a passion for sharing FEMM with others.
